Man Pleads Guilty to Attempted Kidnapping in Bristol

Louis A. Lopez, 30, of Bristol Borough, plead guilty in court to charges related to kidnapping, groping and harassment allegations.

On Tuesday, a former Bristol Borough man plead guilty in county court to a myriad of charges related to kidnapping, groping and harassment allegations.

Former Pine Grove Street resident Louis A. Lopez, 30, will be sentenced in the coming months, following a Megan’s Law evaluation, PhillyBurbs.com reported. He could face up to 10 years in jail.

Lopez is reported to have tried to kidnap two young girls - ages 8 and 9 - as they walked along Canal Street in the borough in the summer of 2011. The girls managed to escape and were aided by a neighborhood mailman, the PhillyBurbs.com story said.

During interviews with police officials, the two girls said they had seen Lopez watching them several time as they went about their business in the days leading up to the kidnapping attempt, the article said.

According to the story from courts reporter Laurie Mason Schroeder, Lopez is also accused of stalking a 14-year-old girl durng a seperate happening. In that incident, the girl and a friend were chased down Radcliffe Street in an effort to get away from the 30-year-old.

Lopez was reported by the website to have also submitted a guilty plea in connection with a groping episode involving an 18-year-old female.

The former Bristol man will remain in county jail until he can be sentenced.

In 2009, Lopez was arrested and plead guilty to drug charges, court records show.

I would like to say it was amazing watching these future Hall of Famers at 8 years old fightingRead More through the weather and playing the 5 games in 2 days. They were tougher than many of the adults! I remember my days with Levittown American Little League playing in the 8-9 year old division and these boys would have taken us out! It would not have been close. Great Job to all and Congrats to Team Neshaminy...do you know how hard it is to say that as a Pennsbury Grad? I look forward to the next tournament!
