Neshaminy School Director Results Are In

There were five seats on Neshaminy's School Board up for election in Tuesday's primary election, but only three were contested.

There were five seats on Neshaminy’s School Board up for election in Tuesday’s primary election.

Unofficial results posted late Tuesday by BucksCountyElections.org, showed that incumbent board members Kim Koutsouradis and Susan Cummings received the majority of votes in the Lower Southampton Region One. Koutsouradis received about 44 percent of Republican votes and about 25 percent of Democratic votes. Cummings received about 42 percent of Republican votes and about 23 percent of Democratic votes.

Republicans Koutsouradis, the board’s current vice president, and Cummings were up for re-election; they both cross-filed. They were challenged by Republican Ellen Budsman, who also cross-filed, and Democrat Sean Hoffman.

The unofficial reports stated that Mark Shubin will take the one open seat in the Middletown Township Region Three with 100 percent of Republican votes and about 62 percent of Democratic votes.

Current board member William O’Connor did not seek re-election. Shubin, who cross-filed, and Democrat Steve Rodos competed for the seat.

In Middletown Township Region Two, current board president Republican Ritchie Webb, who cross-filed, ran uncontested. Current Republican board member Rick Eccles did not seek re-election and Anthony Sposato cross-filed and ran unopposed for that open seat.

Koutsouradis, who was staked out at Tuesday morning promoting himself and other Republican candidates, said the issues in the forefront of voters’ minds were the and .

Upon re-election, Koutsouradis said he and the school board’s plan is to “find a NFT contract that will ” and to pass a budget with “a zero percent tax increase,” a goal he said the board delivered last year.
