Route 13 Construction Continues with More Restrictions

The $36.5 million Route 13 (Bristol Pike) construction project continues with additional restrictions in Bristol Borough and Bristol Township.

The $36.5 million construction project to improve Route 13 (Bristol Pike) continues in Bristol Borough and Bristol Township with additional restrictions beginning on April 17.

PennDOT's construction will enhance travel and safety along a 4.3-mile stretch of Bristol Pike by rehabilitating pavement, rebuilding bridges, replacing drainage facilities, building pedestrian walkways, installing medians, reducing speed limits and more, according to a website dedicated to the updates on the project.

Bristol Pike/Route 13 will be restricted to one lane in each direction between Bath Road and Bristol Commerce Drive in Bristol Borough while the bridge over Otter Creek is reconstructed starting on Wednesday, April 17, according to Safer13.com.

Then on Monday, April 22, Beaver Dam Road will be closed north of Route 13 (Bristol Pike) in Bristol Borough and Bristol Township for the rehabilitation of the bridge over Adams Hollow Creek. Beaver Dam Road is expected to reopen in July.

Philadelphia's James D. Morrissey, Inc. is the general contractor on the $36,527,577 project, which is being financed with 100 percent federal funds. The , is expected to be complete by October 2015.
