Section of South Olds Boulevard Closed Until May

South Olds Boulevard is closed between Parkway and Southway drives.

The plan to replace the culvert and bridge on South Old Boulevard in Falls Township looks like it is going to take longer than originally expected.

At a November Board of Supervisors meeting, township engineer James Sullivan said the replacement and repair project should take about a week.

According to a message posted recently on the township website, the road will be closed between Parkway and Southway drives starting Wednesday and opening again by May 1.

The board approved to hire Bensalem's BrightLine Construction at $336,173 to fix the roadway and culvert that runs below in November. The township already owns the culvert that is expected to be replaced.

The bridge runs over the Queen Anne Creek.
