Social Security Office Ransacked During Power Outage

Sometime between Tuesday and Friday thieves stole several items from the office in Falls Township.

Police are looking for the individuals who broke into the Social Security Office in the 400 block of Lincoln Highway during the post-Sandy blackout and stole several items.

Government employees returning to work on Friday found office void of several items after the lights had gone back on, Falls Township police said.

Four computer units and a flat screen TV were missing. No personal information was stored on any of computers, police said.

Police allege the thieves entered through a rear window, which was discovered broken.

The office had been closed since Tuesday due to a lack of power, police said.

The value of the items taken is not yet known to police.

In the days following the storm, authorities in Bristol dealt with several incidents involving electric generators.

Thank God no personal information was stored in there- nothing like making a bad situation from the hurricane even worse.

I would like to say it was amazing watching these future Hall of Famers at 8 years old fightingRead More through the weather and playing the 5 games in 2 days. They were tougher than many of the adults! I remember my days with Levittown American Little League playing in the 8-9 year old division and these boys would have taken us out! It would not have been close. Great Job to all and Congrats to Team Neshaminy...do you know how hard it is to say that as a Pennsbury Grad? I look forward to the next tournament!
