The Falls Township Board also honors police K-9 during meeting.

Chairman Robert Harvie started the Falls Township Board of Supervisors meeting with a moment of silence for Falls Township Police K-9 Dante, who had passed away from cancer.

Other items were also discussed during Tuesday's meeting:

  • The board accepted the Township of Falls Authority’s payback for their loan of $16 million. They also extended the Term of Existence of TOFA by 50 years.
  • The new Bonefish Grill restaurant which recently opened was granted a liquor license and will now be allowed to serve alcohol.
  • Armors and Sons won the bid to renovate the lighting system at the Village of Nottingham and to work on the traffic signal at the intersection of Tyburn road and New Falls Road/South Main Street.

Harvie concluded the meeting with the career highlights of the police dog Dante. He also brought up the idea of naming the dog park in Falls Township, where Dante performed on its opening day, after Dante.
