Tuesday Is Primary Election Day

Patch has you covered for all your election needs.

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 17. As a tax-paying American citizen, it is your inalienable right -- your civic duty -- to cast your vote. This is your chance to have a say in future legislation!

In Pennsylvania, primary elections are held on a closed basis -- this means you must be registered as a Republican to cast a vote for the Republican candidate, or as a Democrat to vote for the Democratic candidate. For example, you could vote in the Republican primary if you are registered as an Independent.
