Bucks County Community College has named Dr. Clayton Railey III as its next Provost and Dean of Academic Affairs, effective June 16. Previously, Railey was the Dean of Communications, Arts and Humanities at Delaware County Community College.
“Everyone whom I have met impresses me immediately with their enthusiasm for serving the students at Bucks, and this makes the school seem like home to me," Railey said.
Railey was selected after an extensive national search and work by members of a search committee, college official explained.
“I am excited about the strengths that Clay brings to us and look forward to his leadership,” said Dr. Stephanie Shanblatt, college president.
Railey holds a B.A. from Dickinson College in English and Economics, an M.A. from St. Louis University in American Studies, a M. Div. and S.T.M. from the Jesuit School of Theology, and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt in English.
