BTSD Students End Camp With Grand Finale

Special needs students will host a talent show demonstrating what they have learned during summer camp.

Bristol students will mark a six-week effort with a grand finale.

Nearly 25 kids, ages seven to 14, diagnosed with autism spectrum or anxiety disorders attended a summer camp in Bristol Township School District. Children learned social skills that will help them function more smoothly in society. Those students will host a talent show to demonstrate what they have learned.

School officials said the performance marks the grand finale to a summer program that the district operates in partnership with the Delaware Valley Children’s Center.

"Performing on stage is daunting for anyone, but particularly for kids with special needs," supervisor of special education JoAnn Allison said. "We are all looking forward to seeing them demonstrate what they have learned."
