The Neshaminy school board is considering allowing district personnel to use a breathalyzer if a student appears intoxicated at after school or special events.

Neshaminy school district is considering a measure that would allow the use of breathalyzers at special events, including prom.

According to a report on BucksLocalNews, the Neshaminy school board is considering allowing district personnel to use a breathalyzer if a student appears intoxicated at after school or special events. A vote on the change to the district’s discipline and alcohol policies is expected during the board’s April 22 meeting.

Superintendent Robert Copeland said a similar policy at his previous school district in New Jersey was successful, BucksLocalNews.com reported. Breathalyzers would not be used during regular school day, the publication noted.
