Pennsbury Elementary Students Go Green

Students at Afton Elementary began planting vegetables in the school's newly constructed courtyard learning garden.

Students at Afton Elementary began planting vegetables in the school's newly-constructed courtyard learning garden. 

Pennsbury Coordinator of Communications Ann Langtry said teachers, parents, and gardening experts will work with students to sow seeds and place vegetable plants.

Langtry said this is Phase I of a project that will also include the future construction of a planned, gazebo-like classroom in Afton's interior courtyard. 

The planting schedule takes place Monday through Wednesday.
