Pennsbury Schools Jump To Help First Lady Break World Record

Students and staff at two Pennsbury schools will try to help other kids and First Lady Michelle Obama break a Guinness World Record by doing jumping jacks.

Students and staff at two Pennsbury schools will try to help other kids and First Lady Michelle Obama break a Guinness World Record by doing jumping jacks.

Edgewood Elementary in Yardley and Manor Elementary in Levittown will participate in the "Let's Jump" event.

Tying in with school wellness initiatives, kids around the nation will join National Geographic Kids and First Lady Michelle Obama to break the record for the most people doing jumping jacks in one day during a one-minute interval. The event takes place between 3 p.m. Oct. 11 and 3 p.m. Oct. 12.

All grades will participate in these two school-wide events. Coordinated by the physical education teachers, the event takes place on Wednesday.
