Pennsbury Students Artwork To Be Honored

Seven students' work selected for permanent collection at Central Administration Building in Fallsington.

Seven Pennsbury student artists will be honored during a reception in Fallsington, according to a news release.

The students' outstanding work from the 2010-2011 school year was selected for the permanent collection at the central administration building.

Students' families, art teachers, principals, and district administrators are expected to attend the event.

Each student will have an opportunity to discuss his or her work, displayed on easels, along with the art teacher who delivered the corresponding curricular topic.  

The young artists' work was done during the grades listed last year.

  • Alexandra Schafer: Grade 12 Pennsbury High School Acrylic Still-Life
  • Arianna Nguyen: Kindergarten Walt Disney Elementary School Basic Shapes and Patterns
  • Rufus James: Grade 8 William Penn Middle School Values and Portraits
  • Hannah Curley: Grade 2 Eleanor Roosevelt Elementary School Seascape
  • Kate Dillon: Grade 11 Pennsbury High School Clay Bust
  • Ashley Richardson: Grade 10 Pennsbury High School Jim Dine Mixed Media
  • Jordan Linton: Pennsbury High School Art Major 2D Design II class

As in past years, the selected works will be displayed for one year in the superintendent's office. The pieces will then move to other locations in the building for permanent exhibition. 

A reception takes place Thursday, Oct. 6 at 4 p.m. in the superintendent's conference room on the second floor of the Pennsbury Administration Building located at 134 Yardley Avenue in Fallsington.
