Pennsbury Students Travel Back In Time To 1700s

Colonial America comes to life for Makefield Elementary School students.

Students at Makefield Elementary School travel back in time to the 1700s during Colonial Day on Friday.

The full-day interactive event is a learning experience that includes an extensive cast of militiamen, tradesmen, craftsmen, and more. School faculty, parent volunteers, students, Colonial Navy re-enactors, George Washington and William Penn re-enactors are expected in attendance.

Colonial Day at Makefield Elementary School has been staged every two years for the last 28 years. Former teachers Dave Yantz and Susan Plaisted created the event, along with current fourth and fifth grade teachers, and members of the Makefield Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (MESPTO).
