Pennsbury Takes Top Honors At 'Music In The Parks' Festival

Pennsbury Middle School honors orchestra took the top spot at a weekend competition.

The young musicians attended the Music in the Parks Festival hosted by Six Flags Great Adventure on Saturday.

“They won first place in their division, a superior rating -- the highest possible rating -- and Best Overall Orchestra in the entire competition,” Director of Bands Pennwood Middle School Jonathan Rees said. “It was an absolutely awesome day!”

Rees, along with assistant director Miss Christina Dobson, lead the orchestra members.

This is the orchestra's second year in existence.
