VIDEO: Neshaminy School Celebrates 224th Anniversary Of Constitution

Students and staff took time to mark the 224th anniversary of our nation's founding document.

Students and staff took time to mark the 224th anniversary of our nation's founding document.

The Social Studies Department of Carl Sandburg Middle School proudly celebrated Constitution Day 2011 -- Sept. 17, 2011 -- with a special program for all students and staff members on Friday, Sept. 16.

The National Constitution Center's Traveling History Program presented the "Bill of Rights Show." The show educated students on the Bill of Rights and its creation in a fast-paced, interactive, question and answer show.

The students also met James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and Thomas Jefferson as they debated about basic freedoms and the amendments that protect citizens' rights today.

Each grade level had its own special assembly.
