Local Little League Stars Take To The Field
Pennsbury Athletic Association Holds Opening Day Ceremony
The smell of freshly mowed grass, manicured fields, hot dogs, soda, chips and two long awaited words filled the air this weekend, "Play ball!"
The greatest American past time began this weekend as Pennsbury Athletic Association held their 2011 Opening Day ceremony to kick-off the baseball and softball season for local boys and girls.
Hundreds of parents, family, friends and ball players packed Stoddard Field to take part in the grand event. The Guardian Honor Guard, of the New Washington Crossing National Cemetery, opened the day along with a parade of ball players.

Opening and closing remarks were given by the league commissioner and former PAA ball player Bo Birkhead and PAA parent, coach and State Representative Steve Santarsiero.
The Pennsbury High School Falcon mascot was on hand to cheer on the players and to entertain the kids and adults of all ages.
