Bristol Township's Community Day Set for Saturday
The third annual Bristol Township Community Day begins Saturday at 4 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. with fireworks.
Bristol Township will hold its third annual Community Day at the this Saturday, Aug. 18. The free, outdoor event will run from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a spectacular fireworks display beginning at dusk.
“Bring a lawn chair or blanket and sit back and relax,” said Sherri Champey, Recreation Coordinator for Bristol Township. “It’s a fun event to come out to, and a chance to relax, talk with neighbors, and just have fun.”
The event, in its third year of existence, will feature food vendors, a DJ, a free kids’ zone, petting zoo, moon bounce, craft vendors, water slide, face painting, and Chickie & Pete’s famous crab fries.

In attendance will also be local elected officials, a police command unit, voter registration stand, and wellness screenings.
“In the past, we have had around 300 to 400 people coming out,” added Champey. “It is getting bigger and better every year, and even though weather is a factor, we expect a big turnout.”

Beginning at 6 p.m., there will be a special appearance by the Love Fellowship Crusade Choir. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held on Sunday, Aug. 19.
