Community Helps Bucks County Non Profit

Reedman Toll Auto World partnerned with ReUseYourShoes of Bucks County on Saturday offering them a showroom to use for a shoe-sorting event.

ReUseYourShoes is a Bucks County non-profit organization that collects shoes in Bucks County and the surrounding area.

Nearly 40 volunteers showed up to help sort and bag thousands of donated shoes to be given to local homeless shelters.

Krispy Kreme of Philadelphia donated dozens of free doughnuts for the staff at Reedman Toll and those who helped sort shoes, and Panera Bread of Levittown donated boxes of coffee.

Children and teens were welcome. Some of the students who participated were able to log community service hours.

The next shoe sorting event will take place at Churchville Nature Center on April 5 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Individuals and small groups are welcome.
