Wing Eating Contest, Road Closure This Week in Levittown

Check out what's happening in Levittown this week.

  • The Edgely Fire Company is hosting a wing eating contest all day Friday, starting at 8 a.m. and leading into the station's open house at 6 p.m. The cost is $35 to enter the contest, with each participant receiving a t-shirt. 
  • Newport Road in Bristol Township between Franklin Ave. and Prospect Ave. will be closed Tuesday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. by  PennDOT for a tree removal.
  • The Middletown Board of Supervisors meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the township administration building. The agenda includes the swearing in of three new police officers.
  • Remember how nice and clear it was last week? Yeah, that's not happening this week, according to the National Weather Service. Look for rain pretty much all day Monday, cloudy and cool Tuesday and Wednesday and a chance of rain Thursday and Friday.
