Dedicated in 1959, this school was named for famed American poet and writer Carl Sandburg. The 6th through 8th grade school is part of the Neshimany School District, and has a variety of extracurricular programs and activities in addition to the curriculum. The school strives to achieve academic excellence and excel in athletics, and is located next to Albert Schweitzer Elementary School in a residential neighborhood. There is a drop off area in front of the school and large parking lot adjacent to the building.
