All lanes were blocked on the eastbound side of the turnpike from a seven-car accident near the Philmont Avenue overpass.
Alerts went out at approximately 3:15 p.m. Wednesday of a multi-car accident on eastbound Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Philmont Ave. overpass. According to the report, all lanes had been blocked by the crash. NBC-10 reports that a fallen ladder on the turnpike struck several cars and caused others to swerve and crash. Three people have been sent to the hospital, one to Abington Memorial and the other two to Frankford-Torresdale. As of 4:30 p.m., traffic is getting by the scene, but there is a three-mile backup.

A 69-year-old Levittown woman is in critical condition after a serious accident on Route 13.
Bristol Township police released more information Tuesday on the serious traffic accident that happened Sunday night at Route 13 and Edgely Road. A 69-year-old Levittown woman suffered serious injuries in the crash and had to freed by firefighters, police said. The woman was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital and remains in critical condition. The woman was driving a maroon 1996 Buick Roadmaster north on Edgely Road when a silver 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by a 27-year-old Levittown man on Route 13 struck the Buick at the intersection at 6:14 p.m., police said. Police, fire and EMS units responded to an accident at Route 13 and Edgely Road in Bristol Township on Sunday.
Emergency crews responded to a serious multi-vehicle accident at Route 13 and Edgely Road in Bristol Township Sunday night. Firefighters responded at around 6:15 p.m. to conduct an auto extrication at the scene, scanner reports indicated. Mulitple vehicles were reported to be invovled. The intersection was blocked for a period of time due to the crash. As of press time, no further information has been released.

Traffic investigators are still probing last Friday's wreck at I-95 and Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township.
Police concluded part of their investigation into the minivan and tractor-trailer accident that happened last Friday afternoon at Veterans Highway (Route 413) and I-95. "Investigation showed the minivan, while exiting I-95, disregarded a red traffic signal at a high rate of speed," Bristol Township Sgt. Chuck Burns said. He added that the "minivan then struck the tractor trailer which was attempting to turn from northbound SR 413 onto I-95." Police were still investigating the identity of the minivan driver as of Tuesday evening, Burns said. Conflicting information has lead to delays in that portion of the probe. A minivan and a tractor-trailer were involved in a crash that tied up traffic on I-95 and Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township Friday afternoon.
The driver of a gray minivan was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital after his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer in Bristol Township on Friday. The adult male victim had to be extricated from his van by firefighters and was transported by ground ambulance to the Philadelphia hospital, officials said. Police said he was in serious condition. Two teenage relatives are in area hospitals after a serious two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Woodbourne and Oxford Valley roads in the Levittown section of Middletown. The Christmas morning crash has left an 18-year-old male in serious condition fighting for his life at St. Mary Medical Center. His 16-year-old relative is suffering from "serious" injuries and was airlifted to St. Christopher’s Hospital in Philadelphia, police said. Middletown police officers working the Christmas morning shift expect to have the intersection of Woodbourne and Oxford Valley roads closed until midday as they investigate a serious accident. Police asked motorist to avoid the roadway as officers conduct an investigation into the crash. According to MontcoAlerts' Twitter feed, emergency personnel were dispatched the location for a multi-vehicle accident just after 10 a.m. The report also indicated that several people were trapped. A man was struck and killed by pick-up truck early Friday morning outside the Golden Eagle Diner on Route 13 in Bristol Borough. According to police Sgt. Pete Faight, the victim was walking in a lane of travel at the Bath Road turn off on Route 13 when a pick-up truck driven by a New Jersey man going to work struck and killed the victim just before 2:30 a.m. NBC 10 identified the man as Enrigue Garcia, 44. The death remains under investigation, but the driver of the truck is fully cooperating with the investigation, Faight said. He added that the driver said he did not see Garcia until it was too late. A nasty weekend car wreck on Green Lane in Bristol Township was caused by a woman who fled a traffic stop on Mill Creek Road, township police revealed Wednesday afternoon. According to police traffic unit Sgt. Chuck Burns, a vehicle with 3 occupants was stopped by officers on Green Lynne Drive for suspicion of DUI just after midnight on Saturday morning. The car, driven by a Fairless Hills woman, fled the scene of the traffic stop at a high rate of speed and disappeared into the night. A vehicle accident with injuries was reported shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday in Bristol Township. According to the Alertpage network, fire crews extricated one person from a vehicle crash at Green Lane and Emilie Road. No word on injuries was reported in the alert.
