Residents on Palmer Avenue say they have been after the Township for years to fix a sinkhole that has closed the road.
A large sinkhole on Palmer Avenue—in Bristol Township's Edgely section—has been a problem for years, residents say, and they want something done soon, Phillyburbs.com reported. The street is not on the township's $4 million road paving program for 2013, but the reports stated the township will address the problem.

I am pretty sure that sink hole and OUR SINK HOLES in all our properties were caused by the township! they drained the canal (TWICE) and left it drained. this drains the water tables (shallow tables) and guess what happens then. the ground collapses with no water in it anymore to support it. State Police arrested a Bristol Township man on Friday because he failed to register as a convicted sex offender by Thursday.
Jeffrey Dolton, 38, a convicted sex offender, was arrested Friday for failing to comply with Megan’s Law by registering as a sex offender in a timely manner, according to a State Police report. Dolton had gone to State Police barracks in Trevose to register Friday, but he was supposed to have registered by Thursday, so police arrested him. Phillyburbs.com reported that Dolton, of Plumtree Turn, was found guilty in 2011 of being a violent predator after pleading guilty to indecent assault on someone younger than 13. He was sentenced to 5 years. The report also stated that Dolton had told police he was employed, but when the business was checked, they found that Dolton had been fired in March. The Big Lots in Bristol Township was robbed Wednesday, according to reports.
The Big Lots in the Bristol Plaza shopping center on Durham Road in Bristol Township was robbed Wednesday afternoon. Scanner reports indicated a white male went into the store and made off with cash. The robbery occurred just after 2 p.m. and drew a large police presence. The Bucks County Courier Times published a description on their website. According to a Patch reader, police with dogs checked the area for the suspect for nearly an hour.

A 69-year-old Levittown woman is in critical condition after a serious accident on Route 13.
Bristol Township police released more information Tuesday on the serious traffic accident that happened Sunday night at Route 13 and Edgely Road. A 69-year-old Levittown woman suffered serious injuries in the crash and had to freed by firefighters, police said. The woman was taken to Aria Torresdale Hospital and remains in critical condition. The woman was driving a maroon 1996 Buick Roadmaster north on Edgely Road when a silver 2010 Toyota Corolla driven by a 27-year-old Levittown man on Route 13 struck the Buick at the intersection at 6:14 p.m., police said. As of press time, police have released no information on charges. Route 13 was closed between Upper Beaver Dam Road and Haines Road until 10:50 p.m. Police were assisted at the scene…

Bucks County Deputy Sheriff James Mitchell was driving in his blue county vehicle on the afternoon of Dec. 11 in Bristol Township when he heard a radio call for a dwelling fire on Wynfield Avenue. The deputy got to the scene and found the house engulfed in flames. Mitchell and passerby Mark Cook rushed toward the house after watching a woman go back in. She believed another woman was trapped. At the time, Bristol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said the woman fought with Mitchell as he tried to get her out of the burning house. The deputy was able to pull the woman, who was later treated for smoke inhalation and burns, from the two-story home.
