The Bristol Township Police Department is investigating two burglaries that occurred in the past few days.
In a recent Bristol Township burglary, an unknown subject took a black Ruger 9mm valued at approximately $600. This incident occurred on Rocky Pool Lane January 4 between 11 a.m. and 3:27 p.m. The subject gained entry through a side door. The Bristol Township Police Department is also investigating the following burglary: Sometime between 4 p.m. Jan. 4 and 7 a.m. Jan. 5, an unknown subject gained entry through the read door by prying it open. The property located on the 2900 block of Edgely Road is under construction by several contractors. It is unknown at this time if anything is missing. Bristol Township police have also dealt with several other crimes. Several burglaries were reported.
Police are looking for whoever stole 750 eyeglass frames from a vehicle parked in Bristol Township. The theft was reported to police Sunday afternoon in the 3500 block of Dixon Avenue. According to police, two large black bags filled with 500 designer pair of prescription glasses and one Tumi-brand piece of luggage containing 250 pairs of Tumi frames was taken from a 2009 Dodge during the overnight hours. Police are unsure of whether the vehicle was locked or unlocked at the time of the theft. Tumi frames are listed on the company's site as often costing more than $250. The man arrested for an alleged gun incident was taken into custody by the same officer in 2002.
Bristol police on Thursday night arrested a 29-year-old man accused of committing a robbery with gun. Slightly more than an hour later, police responded to a reported knifepoint robbery. Robbery Involving a Gun Philadelphia resident Chad Braun was arrested just after 9 p.m. in the area of Fourth and New York avenues in the Croydon section of the township. Court records show that he was a resident of Croydon as recently as February 2012. The 29-year-old was charged with robbery, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and possessing instrument of a crime, according to police and court dockets. Police responded a carjacking in Croydon and a strange accident involving a school bus.
Bristol Township police have handled a carjacking and hit-and-run crash involving a school bus over the past few days. Just after midnight on Wednesday, a man was approached by three black males and carjacked in the 1700 block of Newport Road in Croydon, police reported. One of the suspects displayed a handgun. The trio demanded the victim's car and wallets during the incident, police said. The victim was able to get free from the area and get help, but his car and wallet were taken. According to township police, the vehicle is a gray 2008 Chevrolet Impala. DDB2500 is the vehicle's registration. Bristol Township police are investigating two separate armed robberies that took place July 6. According to police reports, the incidents happened hours apart from each other. In each instance, two masked men, with at least one brandishing a handgun, were involved. The first incident took place at 1:18 a.m. on July 6 on the 1400 block of Veterans Highway in Bristol. According to police, as the victim exited his vehicle he was approached by two males with their faces covered. The subjects pointed a gun at the victim’s head and demanded money. Bristol Township police blotter.
Police said sometime between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on June 28, someone broke in through a first floor window of a location on Red Cedar Drive in Levittown. Various jewelry items were stolen. It was reported at 7:26 p.m. on June 28. According to police, a black, 27-inch, Fuji boys 10-speed was stolen from an address on Route 13 in Levittown. The bike had a large flat seat and a label that said “Schwinn”. The handlebars had the original foam. A suspect was captured on a nearby video system. Bristol Township Police released recent crime information on Monday, Aug. 29, which included thefts, burglaries and warrant arrests. A suspect kicked in the door of a house on Elm Avenue in Croydon on Sunday, Aug. 28, to gain access to the home. A computer and jewelry were taken from the home. On Sunday, Aug. 28, an unknown subject who was working at a home on Emilie Road in Levittown took a purse containing a cell phone and other personal items. The approximate value stolen was $250. A computer was removed from a home on Bristol Pike in Levittown on Sunday, Aug. 28. The approximate value of the computer was $269.
