Bristol Borough Thanksgiving Tradition Canceled

The Truman/Egan game is still on, however, longtime rivals Bristol Borough and Morrisville Borough will not face each other for their traditional Thanksgiving game.

An official confirms that the annual Thanksgiving Day football game between Bristol Borough High School and Morrisville High School is off. The tradition, which began in the late 1920s, was canceled because the Bristol Borough Warriors are set to play in the PIAA Class A football playoffs Saturday afternoon in Souderton. As of Wednesday afternoon, a district official said the game will not likely be rescheduled. The Harry S. Truman and Conwell-Egan high school football teams are still set to meet Thanksgiving morning for the Bristol Township Mayor’s Bowl. The annual game is set to start at 10 a.m. at Truman.
