Two teams tried to find their identity in a rare Saturday afternoon basketball matchup. Playing on their home court, Central Bucks West (4-4) was able to overcome a furious comeback by Pennsbury (3-7). The Lady Bucks, who were led by Sam Colloi’s 20 points held off Pennsbury's Sajanna Bethea, with 12 points, and the Lady Falcons who trailed the whole game. At one point, the Falcons trailed by double-digits, but cut the deficit by three points late in the fourth quarter. However, the Bucks were able to withstand the late surge and pulled away for a 53-47 victory. This was a very physical game from both sides as each team was in the bonus from early in the fourth quarter. Pennsbury also had some nice scoring from Jae Jackson, with 11 points…

The Redskins freshman finished the night leading the team in scoring and proved her position as a starter.
The Redskins picked up their second win of the season thanks in large part to freshman Megan Schafer as they defeated Central Bucks West 56-38 Tuesday night at home. It was their second win of the young season. The 5-foot-7 Schafer, certainly proved to coach Victoria Yancer that she earned the starting job given to her in just her second game at the high school level. "We played really good defense. It is a big transition since I am the youngest, but I am looking forward to a good season," Schafer said after her 12-point performance. The Redskins were shooting and shooting a lot, which was much different from their previous game against Villa Joseph Marie, where there was plenty of inside post work. Temperatures Expected To Drop Below 20 Degrees
Bucks County officials have declared several days this week "Code Blue" weather, the Bucks County Courier Times reported. The county's emergency shelter at the Woodside Presbyterian Church in Lower Makefield was activated for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday when temperatures are expected to drop below 20 degrees, according to the Bucks County Courier Times. The Code Blue was issued Friday by the Bucks County Emergency Management Agency after the National Weather Service made its weather prediction. Officials advised residents to check on elderly neighbors during the frigid weather, the Bucks County Courier Times reported.
