A 27-year-old man from Montgomery County made threats and tried to force his way into his ex-girlfriend's Falls Township house.
“I thought you had a guy inside” That was the excuse police say John French, 27, of Gladwyne, told his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday after he made threats and tried to force entry into her home in the 1000 block of Bristol Pike in the Morrisville section of Falls Township, according to an affidavit. A police officer was on the phone with the victim at 10:45 p.m. when he heard French banging on the door and cursing in the background. When all failed, French pleaded with his ex to let him in, police said. Officers responded and took the 27-year-old into custody, police said. Copper was stolen from a home in Bristol Township and a Wii system was among the items taken in Middletown.
Police in Bristol and Middletown townships are investigating two burglaries and a stolen vehicle. Sometime between Saturday and Sunday morning, a home in the 1600 block of Edgely Road in Bristol Township was burglarized. The home, which is under renovations, was entered through a smashed window. Copper pipes from the water and oil heater were stolen, police said. Middletown investigators are looking into a burglary in the 1000 block of Gillam Avenue in the Langhorne section of the township. Sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Friday, forced entry was made through the front door and jewelry and a Wii video game system were stolen, police reported. Bensalem Police arrested a Levittown man who was charged with 26 counts of burglary, theft and related charges.
Bensalem Police arrested a Levittown man on Wednesday, Jan. 16 who was connected to 26 burglaries that started in early 2012, according to police. Anthony Fanaro, 32, of Levittown was charged with 26 counts of burglary, theft and related charges after a yearlong investigation involving detectives from multiple municipalities throughout Bucks County, a police report said. Fanaro is the last to be arrested from a burglary ring that began in 2012. According to police, the burglary ring would break into unoccupied Bucks County homes and steal gold jewelry. The jewelry would then be sold at "Cash for Gold" stores in and around the Philadelphia area. The burglary ring was mostly comprised of heroin addicts who were fueling their addictions with …

A burglary took place on Jefferson Avenue in Bristol Borough, according to a police report. On Jan. 6 around 12 p.m. a $1,350 worth of items were stolen from a home, police said. Golf clubs, an air conditioner, marble sing, toilet and four tire rims, all valued at $1,350, were taken. Police responded to other incidents including a citation for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct on Cedar Street, and a theft from a Ford that was parked on Lincoln Avenue. The Falls Township Police are seeking information anyone might have about a burglary suspect.
A South End Auto Parts employee caught a man who who had cut the lock on the business' gate and was taking items from a large garage in the rear of the property Monday, Jan. 14. When the employee confronted the suspect, the man walked away and entered an older model Dodge pickup truck with Pennsylvania tags. The business is located at 791 West Bridge Street. The suspect was described as a white male, 40-45 years old with long brown hair and a beard. Anyone with any information is asked to call Detective Tomcho at 215-949-9100. The Bristol Township Police Department is investigating two burglaries that occurred in the past few days.
In a recent Bristol Township burglary, an unknown subject took a black Ruger 9mm valued at approximately $600. This incident occurred on Rocky Pool Lane January 4 between 11 a.m. and 3:27 p.m. The subject gained entry through a side door. The Bristol Township Police Department is also investigating the following burglary: Sometime between 4 p.m. Jan. 4 and 7 a.m. Jan. 5, an unknown subject gained entry through the read door by prying it open. The property located on the 2900 block of Edgely Road is under construction by several contractors. It is unknown at this time if anything is missing. A two teenage boys were arrested for burglary Saturday by authorities in Bristol Township. Others in Bristol and Middletown are still under investigation.
Authorities in Bristol and Middletown townships are investigating four burglaries that happened late last week. Bristol police responded to a reported burglary in on North Kenwood Drive in the Levittown section last Thursday at 5:42 p.m. The thieves are believed to have gained entry into the home late in the afternoon through an unlocked window and took jewelry and a DVD. Police report the value of the items at $1,500. On the same day, authorities responded to the Langhorne of Middletown for a burglary on Wyoming Avenue. A person was robbed of cash Monday afternoon along Green Lane. Police reported the victim was approached by a black male suspect who demanded money. The Rite Aid along New Falls Road was the target of medicine thieves.
The makeshift Rite Aid location in the 6900 block of New Falls Road in Bristol Township was ransacked by thieves on Tuesday, authorities said. Officers responded to the temporary, trailer-based pharmacy in the parking lot of the under-construction Rite Aid by Five Points for an active alarm Tuesday morning at 1 a.m., Lt. Terry Hughes said. Arriving patrol units found the structure had been entered and items from the pharmacy were rummaged through and taken, Hughes said. A refrigerator used to store medicine was also entered. As of late week, police did not have a full inventory of what was taken. Hughes said that officers have been dispatched to the pharmacy location in the past for alarm calls.
