A van overturned into a Queen Ann Creek in Levittown Monday night.
Just after 11 p.m. Monday night, residents reported hearing a loud bang near their homes on Levittown Patch's Facebook page. The loud bang they heard was a van that overturned into Queen Ann Creek at New Falls Road & Indian Creek Drive in Levittown. According to a Breaking News Network alert, first responders were on the scene. The driver of the van was able to self extricate and was treated on the scene for injuries. A two-vehicle crash brought police, fire and EMS units to the 2900 block of Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township Saturday evening. Firefighters worked to extricate a victim trapped in one of the cars after the crash. Fire police responded to shut down the roadway, Phillyburbs.com reports. The man who drove his pick-up truck in the Delaware Canal in Bristol Borough Thursday has been located by police.
The man who was behind the wheel of an older pick-up truck that ended up in the Delaware Canal in Bristol Borough pre-dawn on Thursday has been located, police said. The man did not suffer serious injury and told police he went home to change his wet clothes after the incident, police told Patch. What lead to the truck ending up in the water remains under investigation. Police said they are unsure whether man will face charges. Bristol resident Antonio Harvey told Patch Thursday morning he believes saw the driver of the pick-up walk past him shortly after the crash. A truck was pulled from the Delaware Canal in Bristol Borough. The driver has not been located.
Several Bristol Borough residents confirmed that a pick-up truck was found in the canal that runs through town Thursday morning. The truck was pulled by tow crews from the waterway near Delaware Canal Lagoon Park Fountain off Jefferson Avenue. The driver of the vehicle has not be located, according to a report on 6abc.com. Police have not commented on where the driver could be. Patch user Antonio Harvey said the driver of the vehicle fled from the scene. Footage on Channel 6 showed that the vehicle suffered damage when it was pulled from the former canal. A fundraiser has been set to help the family of a lifelong area resident who was killed in a fatal car wreck last weekend. The Primo Hoagie shop on Oxford Valley Road in the Langhorne section of Falls will be donating 10 percent of its profits on Monday, Dec. 10 to the family of 32-year-old mother of two Stacy Byrne. The Croydon resident was known for always having a smile on her face as she served customers at the Radcliffe Cafe in Bristol Borough where she was employed. The 32-year-old was killed and her husband, Ian, hurt when a car struck her Chevrolet Cavalier at an intersection in Silverdale Borough in Upper Bucks County last Saturday night. Mark Kerwood will face trial for an New Year's Eve incident where police say he injured a young boy and fled.
Levittown resident Mark Kerwood, 39, will face trial in county court in Doylestown for allegedly hitting a young boy with his white work van and driving away from the scene on New Year's Eve 2011. Falls Township police at a preliminary trial said they used cell phone tracking software to discover that the 39-year-old was in the Levittown area during the time of the strike, PhillyBurbs.com reported. The two victims in Saturday's fatal accident in Upper Bucks County have been identified by police. One victim is from the Croydon section of Bristol Township. The driver of the Chevrolet Cavalier involved in the crash was identified as Stacy Byrne, 32, of Prospect Avenue of Croydon, police said. The driver of the Toyota Camry — which hit the Cavalier from behind, struck a rock and went airborne — is identified as Mary E. Dodds, 49, of the 100 block of Damson Lane, Montgomery Township, police said. The passenger in the Cavalier who was injured was Byrne's husband, Ian Byrne. A Bucks County reconstruction specialist, who also the police chief in Langhorne Borough, is investigating whether speed was a factor in Wednesday night's fatal crash on the Rt. 611 Bypass in Doylestown.
Langhorne Borough Chief of Police Steven Mawhinney is helping authorities in Doylestown put together the pieces of a deadly car accident that claimed the life of a child Thursday evening. Investigators from the Bucks County District Attorney's office spent Wednesday night and Thursday morning at the crash scene on Rt. 611 in Doylestown. They are reconstructing events and documenting evidence in preparation for what is expected to be criminal charges against the driver of a Ford Mustang. A 63-year-old woman was hurt when her car hit a tree in Langhorne Manor Borough.
A 63-year-old woman was taken by the Penndel-Middletown Rescue Squad to St. Mary Medical Center after suffering injuries when her car struck a tree in Langhorne Manor Borough on Friday. The woman, a resident of neighboring Langhorne Borough, was driving her 2013 Kia Rio south on Pine Street when she struck a tree on the corner of South Bellevue just before 11 p.m., according a state police report. The driver sustained unknown injuries in the crash. A state police investigation into the incident is continuing.
