People of all ages lined Haines and Mill Creek roads Saturday for Bristol Township's 13th Annual Holiday Parade. A light wind whipped through the air as the parade moved from James Buchanan Elementary School to Ben Franklin Middle School just after noon. Local dance groups, football teams, string bands, classic cars, horses and fire trucks flowed along the parade route. On either side of the street, groups of children and adults smiled and waved. Downed tree limbs were visible from portions of the parade route. The downed trees were a reminder of what the Bristol community had endured just weeks ago after Hurricane Sandy. Saturday's event brought the community together and showed how resilient and vibrant the area is.
