Utility Pole Snapped After Crash in Falls

A minor accident wrecked a utility pole on Old Lincoln Highway.

Utility workers installed a new pole along eastbound Old Lincoln Highway in Falls Township Monday night. The original pole was snapped after a vehicle struck it, Lt. Hank Ward said. No injuries were reported in the accident. Crews from PECO and Verizon were on the scene, just past the municipal complex, at 8 p.m. working to install a new pole. One eastbound lane of the the roadway was closed for a period of the evening as the pole was replaced.

Police ID Victims Killed in I-95 Crash

Two people were killed in a Saturday evening crash.

A 19-year-old Philadelphia woman and a 51-year-old Pennington, NJ man, were killed and four others were injured in a crash on I-95 near the Bensalem/Bristol border Saturday evening. On Nov. 24 at 6:25 p.m., state police responded to the accident scene. Police said a vehicle lost control, crashed into a guiderail and became airborne striking another vehicle. Multiple Victims Dead in I-95 Accident

A deadly accident on I-95 tied up traffic during the Saturday evening commute.

A deadly accident on northbound I-95 closed the highway Saturday evening as emergency crews worked to free victims trapped in a car. Media and emergency radio reports indicated that two people were killed in the crash. Four other victims were transported to area hospitals. The accident happened just before 6:30 p.m. near the Route 13 (Bristol Pike) overpass. The scene is near the Bensalem and Bristol border. According to Phillyburbs.com, six people were in a vehicle that rolled over. Several victims were trapped and one person was believed to be thrown out of the vehicle. Deer Causes I-95 Crash

Trevose troopers said a deer caused a crash on the highway in Middletown Township.

On Nov. 17 at 1:20 a.m., state police responded to the scene of a one-vehicle crash on I-95 southbound at exit 46A in Middletown Township. Police said the accident occurred in the right lane when the front of a vehicle, driven by a 21-year-old Bristol man, struck a deer. The driver was able to pull to a controlled stop in the right shoulder near the exit. He was not injured.

State police are charging an 18-year-old male from Trevose with DUI following a crash on I-95 that injured himself and a 17-year-old female passenger.

On Sept. 23 at 8:11 p.m., state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on I-95 northbound at milepost 37.9 in Bensalem. Police said a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old male from Trevose was traveling at a high rate of speed in the left lane on I-95 north. The driver lost control, swerving into the left shoulder of the highway. He then attempted to regain control by turning the steering wheel hard to the right, which sent the vehicle across three lanes of traffic and caused it to strike the …

Levittown Man Critically Injured In Hit-And-Run Accident

A 26-year-old man was critically injured after a hit-and-run accident in Levittown.

  A 26-year-old man was critically injured after a hit-and-run accident in Levittown, 6 Action News reports.  It happened around 12:30 Sunday morning on 4900 block of New Falls Road in Middletown. John Rearick, 26, was walking when he was struck by a car and left on the roadway. Rearick sustained serious head injuries and was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in critical condition, according to 6 Action News reports. Read the full story here.

Bristol Car Crash Injures 1

Crews battle fire following crash on Route 413.

  One person sustained serious injuries after a crash in Bristol, according to reports. The crash was reported around 7:30 p.m. Sunday at U.S. 13 and Route 413, according to Breaking News Network reports. One person reportedly sustained serious injuries. The identity and condition of the person was not yet available. Crews also battled a vehicle fire following the crash. They were able to extinguish the blaze shortly before 8 p.m. There was no word on what caused the crash.

Official: Falls Township Police Officer Listed In Fair Condition

Officer Matthew Killeen is listed in fair condition after he sustained serious injuries in a head-on crash on May 11.

Falls Township Police Officer Matthew Killeen, a three-year veteran of the force, is listed in fair condition after he sustained serious injuries in crash last week, officials said.  The crash happened at 4 a.m. on May 11 in Levittown, police said.  Killeen was heading eastbound on Tyburn Road when a vehicle traveling westbound crosed three lanes of traffic and struck the officer's vehicle, Falls Township Police's Henry Ward said. Killeen was trapped inside his vehicle when it caught fire.  Responding Officers B. Rhodunda and S. Langan pulled Killeen out of the wreckage to safety, Ward said. Killeen was transported to Saint Mary Medical Center.  Police identified the other driver as 36-year-old Brian Etier, of Fairless Hills. He was also …

Levittown Homeowner Deals With Van Crash Aftermath

Tod Miller reached out to Levittown Patch on Facebook to update the status of his situation.

A Levittown homeowner said no one in his home was injured when a van smashed into it. Tod Miller reached out to Levittown Patch on Facebook to update the status of his situation.  "We are the homeowners and we were home and we were physically OK. Hope that the person driving is OK as well. If anyone knows his status, please let us know," Miller said. The crash happened at Scarlet Oak Road shortly before 9 a.m. on May 9. The van's driver was injured and transported to a local hospital for treatment. Miller sent Levittown Patch aftermath photos of the incident and explained the damages his home sustained.  "In the third picture you can see a treadmill in the foreground. Falls Township Officer Suffers Extensive Injuries In Crash

Officer Matthew Killeen was injured after head-on collision in Levittown early Friday morning.

Falls Township officer 28-year-old Matthew Killeen suffered extensive injuries early Friday morning when his patrol car was struck head-on by a driver who crossed the center line of the road for an unknown reason, according to NJ.com. Killeen suffered fractures to his hip, back and pelvis, and faces surgery to repair a hand and arm injury, police said in a news release to NJ.com. The driver who struck Killeen's patrol car remains in critical condition at St. Mary Medical Center, according to NJ.com. His name was not yet released.  Read the full article here.
