PDE Selects Everitt Elementary as a Distinguished Title One School

The Pennsylvania Department of Education selected a Neshaminy School District elementary school as a Distinguished Title One School for 2012-13.

Neshaminy School District's Samuel Everitt Elementary School was selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a Distinguished Title One School for 2012-2013. Each year, the Division of Federal Programs honors Title 1 schools making Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for two or more consecutive years. This year, schools will be selected as “distinguished” if they meet this criteria along with one or more of the following: The school is among the list of top 25 performers in reading or math, based on the percentage of students scoring advanced or proficient in the "All Students" category of the 2011-12 PSSA or  Students tested in one or more of the measured subgroups in the 2011-12 PSSA have a percentage gain of 25 percent or greater …
