The FBI reports that the PNC Bank on the 300 block of West Trenton Avenue in Morrisville was robbed Thursday afternoon.
Just after 3:30 p.m. a man with a gun robbed the PNC bank in Morrisville, according to the FBI and nj.com. This was the second time in a month the same bank was robbed. The FBI describes the suspect as a 5’11 black man in his mid-20s with a medium build, with a medium to dark complexion wearing jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and a black scarf or shirt covering his face. He got away with an undisclosed amount of case, NJ.com reports, and he is considered to be armed and dangerous. A 67-year-old Middletown man, who allegedly had more than 1,000 pictures and videos of child pornography, surrendered to New Britain Township police Friday.
A New Britain Township police officer, working with the FBI, used an undercover online identity to infiltrate a child-porn file-sharing network, according to police. NBCnews.com reports that the investigation, last year, led to Stuart Fenster, 67, of Middletown. The officer had downloaded files from the network of suspected child pornography, and then traced the files through host computers to Fenster. When his computer was seized last year, he allegedly told police he knew possession of child pornography was wrong, but said he didn't believe it was "egregious," according to Phillyburbs.com. Forensic analysis of the computer came up with more than 1,000 images and videos of child pornography, many involving prepubescent children. The …

Multiple sources say Philadelphia narcotics officer Gerald Gibson has been put on administrative leave.
Last updated 6:20 p.m. Multiple news outlets are reporting that the son-in-law of Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett is under investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Philadelphia Police. Sources tell NBC10 that Gerald Gibson, a narcotics officer, has been placed on administrative leave. Police reportedly issued a brief statement about an officer being removed from his duties after a joint investigation by the FBI and Internal Affairs. The officer was not reportedly identified and has not been arrested or charged with a crime. Update, 5:03 p.m. The last murder that occurred in Hilltown Township was in 1990 at 12 Key Drive, when Eric Motis stabbed his neighbor Louise C. Hoopes, 42, a secretary at Grand View Hospital, and her sons Douglas, 16, and Daniel, 14, in their beds. Motis, 26, committed suicide in prison in 1998. A Levittown man is facing more than two years in jail after he tried to defraud a state court. William Rullo, 47, of Levittown, was sentenced Wednesday to 33 months in prison for a scheme to defraud the First Judicial District (“the district”) of Pennsylvania, where he was employed, between 1999 and 2010. Rullo pleaded guilty to mail fraud. He was using his position as a procurement technician in the Procurement Department of the District to make illegal purchases, such as flat screen televisions, for himself, his family, and his friends. His fraud scheme cost the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania approximately $433,000. As a procurement technician, Rullo’s job duties included: placing orders with vendors, purchasing courtroom …

Terri Thompson, 44, of Bristol, was charged Tuesday with wire fraud, according to the FBI. Thompson is accused of devising a scheme to defraud Ruggiero and Ogle, a steamship brokerage company headquartered in Staten Island, New York, of nearly $500,000 while he worked at the company’s Bensalem office. If convicted, the defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of 40 years of imprisonment, three years of supervised release, a $500,000 fine, and a $200 special assessment. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Laurie Magid. The foregoing arrest information was supplied by the FBI, Eastern District. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tyrone Bentley, 35, of Philadelphia, was sentenced Wednesday, August 22 to 408 months in prison for the July 3, 2010 robbery of a Trevose Wachovia National Bank, which is now a Wells Fargo branch located at 3625 Horizon Boulevard. According to a press release from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Bentley was armed with a Taser when he and his accomplice, armed with a gun, "terrorized" the bank employees and stole approximately $38,000 in cash. Police chased Bentley’s van and eventually found him hiding in a bush. He ran again, and, once he was finally caught, he fought with the officers, attempted to grab an officer’s gun, and attempted to provoke the officers to shoot him.
