A Bristol man was sentenced to life in prison after he pleaded guilty to murder in the death of an 18-month-old Bensalem girl, according to reports. Adrian Allen, 28, pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and child endangerment in the death of his girlfriend's daughter, Barbara Camille Adams of Bensalem, ABC6 and Phillyburbs reported. Allen also pleaded no contest to first-degree murder in the child's death and was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole, according to a Phillyburbs article. Authorities say the child was abducted and her 61-year-old grandmother was murdered.
Multiple news outlets are confirming that Upper Merion and Pennsylvania State Police are still searching for 10-month-old Saavni Venna after she was abducted from the Marquis Apartments in the 200 block of W. Dekalb Pike in King of Prussia sometime between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 22. According to NBC10, police have confirmed that the murder victim found at the scene was Saavni's 61-year-old grandmother, Satyavathi Venna, who was baby-sitting at the time. Police issued an Amber Alert after the father returned home later in the day and realized the child was missing. Bensalem police have reported that the 18-month-old girl involved in the investigation of Adrian Allen has died. She died early this morning. Allen, 27, of Gooseneck Road in Bristol Township, was arrested last week on first-degree felony aggravated assault charges, child endangerment and related charges. Allen was baby sitting his girlfriend's three children at her apartment in the 2500 block of Knights Road. He called her on Feb. 26 and told her that her daughter was sick and vomiting. When she returned home that day she found her daughter unresponsive in her crib and took her to St. Mary Medical Center. The child was then flown to St. Christopher’s Hospital. After Wild Pursuit, North Jersey Man Found With Fatal Gunshot Wound
Police officers pursuing three vehicles during a high-speed chase that began in Trenton, N.J. and ended in the Levittown area made a deadly discovery when it was over -- the dead body of New Jersey man in the vehicle’s trunk, police said. Dardar Paye, 33, of Maplewood, N.J. -- a town in Essex County in northern New Jersey -- died of an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Payne's body was discovered when officers popped the trunk of one of the vehicles on U.S. Route 1 near the Oxford Valley Mall exit early Sunday.
