Students, staff and parents of Samuel Everitt and Albert Schweitzer elementary schools worked to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Samuel Everitt’s entrance foyer was filled with an enormous amount of donated food items that came from the school's families and staff. Many local food pantry shelves were depleted due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. Over a three day period, canned and boxed non perishable food items were brought in and placed in large boxes. In the end, twenty six boxes were delivered to the Appletree section of the Salvation Army in Levittown. Students at Albert Schweitzer held a Red Cross Pajama Day and raised $1,021.53 for Hurricane Sandy victims.

Employees help out, and you can, too.
It's been said it's far better to have a neighbor who's near, than a brother who's far away, but in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Americans across the nation have proven to be the best neighbors and the strongest of families. This past weekend, AOL and Patch employees took an opportunity to pitch in, packing two tractor trailers worth of food, water and supplies in Dulles, VA, and Baltimore. The donations are headed to Hurricane Sandy ravaged areas in New Jersey and Long Island. Want to join the relief efforts? The Bucks County Board of Elections approved the relocation of the Riegelsville Borough Hall polling place to the Riegelsville Fire Company. The remaining 214 polls will remain at their original locations.
Of the 215 polling places in Bucks County, only one will have to move for Election Day tomorrow as a result of the damage caused last week by Hurricane Sandy. The Bucks County Board of Elections agreed unanimously to relocate the polling site at Riegelsville Borough Hall to the Riegelsville Fire Company. The decision came during an emergency meeting held in the community room at the Bucks County Courthouse Monday afternoon. The move is a temporary action in response to the emergency situation and will not be permanent for future elections. Chief Clerk Lynn Bush told the board the issue was not only lack of power, but safety concerns, as well. "There is a power pole that is down that held multiple utilities," said Bush. Riegelsville Fire …
