A local police officer and Christmas aficionado, Milt Warrell is hoping visitors will flock to his impressive holiday light display to help raise funds for a good cause.
What has tens of thousands blinking, flashy parts and aims to help attract donations in Levittown? The answer: an impressive light display at a home at 257 Elderberry Drive in Levittown. Township Gives Homeowner Award In House Decorating Contest
How many lights does it take to win a Christmas decoration contest in Falls Township? It takes 66,000 big, blinking and choreographed ones. A series of switches, knobs and one advanced computer program operated Falls Township homeowner Milt Warrell's light show. Running on over 176 separate channels, the several thousand multi-colored lights dance and flicker to programmed songs. Passersby with access to a car radio were able to listen in as the lights twinkle to the theme song of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and 10 other song listings. The entire set up cost Warrell nearly $10,000. The impressive show landed Warrell first place in the township's annual House Decorating Contest. "It was very humbling to win," Warrell said. "I was …

That's a lot of lights -- more than 100,000 lights make up a spectacular Christmas lights show in Levittown's Willowood section. Neil DiSpirito lives at 1 White Spruce Lane and has been welcoming spectators to his home for 18 Christmas seasons. The house stays lit up from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for roughly 30 days this season, but on Christmas Eve DiSpirito said the lights stay on through the night. This year's presentation opened up on Dec. 4, but work putting up all those Christmas lights and decorations began well before that on Oct. 1. DiSpirito said he is not one to take credit for all the work. He has dozens of volunteers who come and help out every year, working various shifts. DiSpirito said he even took off work the month of November …
