Middletown Township police said several separate burglaries took place over the holiday weekend. Nearly $2,000 worth of jewelry was taken from a home on Terrace Road between 10:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, police said. The burglar gained access to the home through a rear window that was broken, police said. A burglar swiped items from a home on Sweetgum Road by removing a window and entering the residence, police said. It happened during the hours of 3 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. Friday. The value of the items taken was not immediately known, police said.
