Middletown Township police report the following recent thefts: A log splitter valued at $1,500 was reportedly removed from a home on Tollgate Road between May 9 and May 10. A GPS valued at $50 was reportedly removed from an unlocked Nissan parked on Longview Avenue between 10 p.m. Friday and 7:20 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Middletown Township police report two thefts at Community Park from parked cars and one at Sesame Place.
Sunday: Sometime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on, someone got into a 2010 Chrysler that was parked at Sesame Place and stole a GPS and two laptop computers. The approximate value of items taken is $2,000. Sunday: Between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. someone entered the owners unlocked 1995 Geo, parked at Toys R Us and stole a broken cell phone, an FM Receiver and a pack of cigarettes. Saturday: Between 3:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. a thief broke out the window of a 2001 Lexus that was parked at the Middletown Community Park on Langhorne-Yardley Road and removed two purses containing credit cards. According to Middletown Township Police, a man allegedly tried to lure boy into his vehicle on Monday.
A 10-year-old boy was riding his bike home from school when a man driving by allegedly tried to lure him in to his vehicle, according to Middletown Township Police reports. On Monday at about 3:34 p.m., police said the 10-year-old boy was riding him bike home in the area of Cardinal Road and Cobalt Drive South when a man in a vehicle stopped about 10 feet ahead of the boy and yelled out the window, "Get in the Car!" The man proceeded to drive away. The man is described as a white man in his 30's with dark, short hair, Lt. John Michniewicz said in a report. Bank tellers kept a woman occupied until police were able to arrest her for allegedly trying to pass a bad check.
A Newark, N.J. woman was arrested by Middletown police and stands accused of trying to cash a bad check at local bank branches. Jennifer Andujar, 20, is charged with forgery, false identifictaion to law enforcement and bad checks. Police report they were summoned to the TD Bank on East Lincoln Highway in the Langhorne section of Middletown Saturday morning for a report of a fraud in progress. A bank teller kept the 20-year-old engaged in conversation until police arrived and were able to question her, police said. According to an affidavit, an officer began speaking with the suspect and told her not to give false information. An arson fire is being investigated in the Langhorne section of Middletown, police say.
The cause of a early Wednesday morning car fire at Lance Corporal Harry J. Simmons Jr. Memorial Park in the Langhorne section of Middletown Township has been ruled arson, police said. At 3:38 a.m., police responded to the Brownsville Road park to find a 2005 Volvo on fire in the parking lot. Police say a second unidentified vehicle was seen in the parking lot just before the fire was reported. Anyone with more information is asked to call the Middletown Township Police Department's detective unit at 215-750-3845 ext. 222. The park is named after a decorated Middletown soldier who lost his life in 1967 while serving in Vietnam.

Middletown police are looking for a couple who may have been the victims of a strong-armed robbery attempt.
Police are looking for a couple who witnesses say are the victims of a strong-armed robbery attempt Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of the Oxford Valley Mall in Middletown. "Witnesses reported seeing three male subjects approach a couple in the parking lot of the mall and attempt to pull a cellular telephone from the hands of a male victim," police said. The suspects were unable to get the phone from the man. According to authorities, the three individuals fled the area in a silver Pontiac Grand Am. The Dunkin' Donuts in Langhorne and Lower Southampton were burglarized early Thursday morning.
Lower Southampton police are looking for two men who they say stole money from the Dunkin' Donuts on Bustleton Pike early Thursday. The suspects may be connected to a similar incident in Langhorne. Store employees called police at around 5:15 a.m. to report the newly-opened location had been burglarized, officials said. The staff was arriving to open for the day, according to a police report. Police said the suspects gained access to a locked cabinet and snatched $1,900. They also pried open cash registers and got $450. It was also noted that a locked cart with paperwork and additional cash inside was ransacked.
