The Eagles Youth Partnership Book Mobile stopped by several elementary schools in Bristol Township on Tuesday.
The Philadelphia Eagles Youth Partnership Book Mobile made stops at 3 Bristol Township elementary schools on Tuesday. Maple Shade and John Fitch elementary schools were paid a visit during the morning. At 1 p.m., the decorated bus filled with books made a stop at Lafayette Elementary School. The organization distributed free books to the students in the schools. Since 2000, the Eagles have given out over 500,000 books. Bristol's visits were sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Education Association.

Story-telling, handmade crafts, interactive science experiments, a visiting zoo and a concert combined with a fitness program are featured in a summer reading program for young patrons and their caregivers at Fallsington Library Company. Beginning June 22, Storytime for all ages up to 8 years old will be held on Friday mornings from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. through July 27. Crafts Nights, on Wednesdays from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. starting June 27 until July 25, are appropriate for all ages and participants will get to make take-home crafts and share stories. One Million Minute Reading challenge for students and staff at Fallsington Elementary School.
Students and staff at Fallsington Elementary School kicked off their annual reading challenge this year with a theme inspired by the Summer Olympics. Reading Specialist Aimee Sansotta made the announcement during an assembly at the school on Friday. Students and staff enjoyed a gymnastic demonstration from, Pennsbury Partner, Schafer School of Gymnastics. Jonathan Schafer, owner, discussed with the students the importance of life lessons and planning in order to reach our goals and overcome challenges. This year students are challenged to read 1,000,000 minutes during the school year.
