Pennsylvania State Police initiated a traffic stop in Bensalem where the driver driver was found with possible drugs and paraphernalia, according to police reports. A 30-year-old Levittown woman was pulled over for a traffic violation on Monday at 10:38 a.m., a report from the state police said. The traffic stop took place on I-95 South just past mile marker 33 in Bensalem. After further investigation, Trooper Preston M. Gray found the driver of the vehicle to be "in possession of a green leafy substance, suspected to marijuana," the report said. Drug paraphernalia was also found. Charges are being filed in district court, according to the report.

Korrie Dayanar Santiago, 21, of Philadelphia was charged with theft, receiving stolen property, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving without a license and various traffic violations, after police said she failed to stop at a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle on Monday, April 8. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that took place on I-95 North in Bensalem Township on Saturday. The accident happened at 10:12 p.m. near mile-marker 36.5 just north of exit 37, a police report said. At that time, a 24-year-old woman from Ewing, N.J., was traveling in the middle lane, when a driver who was traveling in the left lane swerved into her lane and struck the driver side front door of her Pontiac G6. After the impact, the striking vehicle fled the scene, according to police. The Pontiac sustained damage on the driver side door, driver side mirror and driver side fender, police said. Hill Avenue resident accused of showing up several times at ex-spouse's home unannounced.
A woman was charged with harassment and then requested to be taken in for a mental health evaluation, according to reports from state police. A resident of the 300 block of Hill Avenue in Langhorne on Jan. 31 called 911 to report that his ex-wife was harassing him, Pennsylvania State Police reported. His ex-wife allegedly arrived at the Hill Avenue home several times unannounced and began arguing and fighting with the man. Trevose Trooper Martin arrived at the man's home around 7:15 a.m. and charged the ex-wife, who is from Bensalem, with harassment. She then requested to be taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation, police said.

Charges for fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer were filed after a man refused to pull over during a traffic stop, according to state police reports. In late December, Cpl. Andrew V. Hartnett ran a check of a registration plate displayed on a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 to find that the registration was suspended for insurance cancellation, a release from the Pennsylvania State Police said. Hartnett initiated a traffic stop. The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 48-year-old man from Newtown, was pulled over on Veterans Highway, just north of Bath Road in Bristol Township, police said. DUI charges are pending for three individuals after state police responded to three separate incidents, according to reports. On Jan. 19 just before midnight, Trooper Craig M. Acord observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner traveling north on 95 near mile marker 33 in Bensalem, a police release said. The operator of the vehicle, a 29-year-old male from Philadelphia, was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to the state police's Trevose Station where he was evaluated by Drug Recognition Expert Trooper Christopher Nacious and was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. After fleeing the scene, a Philadelphia man was apprehended by state police for attempting to remove a catalytic converter from a car with a saw, according to reports. On Tuesday, Jan. 15, an off-duty Philadelphia police officer observed a man using a portable saw to remove a catalytic converter from a vehicle parked in the lot at the Cornwells Heights Park and Ride. At 3:10 p.m., the officer confronted the 34-year-old Philadelphia man and called the state police to inform them of the situation, the police report said. DUI charges are pending after a state police officer pulled over a vehicle for speeding, according to police reports. On Sunday, Jan. 6 at 1:24 a.m., a 40-year-old man from Lawrenceville, NJ was pulled over on 95 North at mile marker 37.9 for operating his vehicle in excess of the posted speed limit, the report said. At that time, State Trooper Craig M. Acord found that the driver was intoxicated. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for chemical testing before being taken to the Trevose Station of Pennsylvania State Police where he was processed and released. This case will proceed via summons, and charges will be filed at district court.

A Bristol man was arrested on an outstanding warrant by a state trooper on Friday, Jan. 4, according to police reports. On Friday, Jan. 4 just before 1:30 p.m. Trooper Lee Nolan initiated a traffic stop on I-95 northbound at Exit 40. Upon further investigation it was determined that the driver, a 23-year-old from Bristol, had an outstanding warrant from the Bucks County Sheriffs Office. The warrant was in regards to a parole violation for simple assault.
