In 2013, Ritchie Webb will remain the president of the Neshaminy School Board with Scott Congdon taking over the duties of vice president. During the annual reorganization meeting, Webb was the sole nominee for the president position and the board unanimously re-elected him. Kim Koutsouradis nominated Scott Congdon to replace him as the board's vice president. "As much as it has been terrific, I would like to pass the torch on," Koutsouradis said of nominating Congdon, who was the sole nominee. Congdon was elected as the board's 2013 vice president with a 8-1 vote; Mike Morris voted against appointed Congdon as the VP, but did not make a public statement about it. The Pennsbury School Board reorganized Monday night and talked about recouping the cost of their court fight against Concerned Residents of Pennsbury.
Not all the members of the Pennsbury School Board were pleased with the election of Gary Sanderson to the post of vice president. At Monday night's special reorganization meeting at Fallsington Elementary School, board members Simon Campbell and Dr. Stephan Kosmorsky voted against the election of Sanderson to vice president. Campbell, who previously served in the role, said he felt the fact that Sanderson's campaign manager, Bob Harvie, was a union teacher at Bucks County Technical High School served as a conflict of interest. Harvie is also chairman of the Falls Township Board of Supervisors. Campbell, a Republican, also claimed that registered Democrat Sanderson's campaign was financially supported by union teachers. The Bristol Township School Board reorganized Monday night.
At a special meeting Monday evening, the Bristol Township School Board reorganized itself. The meeting, lasting all of 10 minutes, placed board member Angela Nober as president. Earl Bruck previous served as the president. Stacy Gerlach was appointed to replace Fredrick Black as the board's vice president. Superintendent Dr. Samuel Lee said at the end of the meeting that Bruck and Black were "incredible shepards and advocates for everything Bristol Township School District." He also thanked them for their service. Pennsylvania requires that school boards meet to reorganize during the first week of December on a yearly basis. The board will meet for a regular business meeting on Monday, Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the district offices.

As pointed out by the district, Allan Weisel said he did not want "divisiveness" to fill the board. Our original story said Weisel did not want "deviousness." We also regrettably stated the next meeting will be held on Monday, Dec. 13. The meeting is actually set for Thursday, Dec. 13. more ›
