We've put together a listing of where you can see Santa Claus escorted by local fire companies. Bristol Township: Levittown Fire Company #2 will be taking Santa Claus around the following sections starting at 7 p.m.: The fire company said the dates may change without notice. Inclement weather makeup days are set for Dec. 17 and 18. The big guy will also be hitching a ride through the Newportville section with the men and woman of the Newportville Fire Company on Saturday, Dec. 15 starting just after 3 p.m. The Edgely Fire Co. will be escorting Santa Dec. 22, 23 and 24, Deputy Chief Brian Cirard said. A man was hurt late Wednesday night when his house caught fire in Levittown.
Thursday, 4:01 p.m.: Brsitol Township Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said Thursday afternoon that the fire was caused by careless smoking by the resident. The homeowner, who lived alone, remains at St. Mary Medical Center and is being treated for smoke inhalation and burns, Dippolito said. Thursday, 12:51 a.m.: Officials say the man who lives at 300 Indian Creek Drive in the Levittown section of Bristol Township was transported to St. Mary Medical Center after a fire at his house late Wednesday night. Levittown Fire Company No. 2 will start selling Christmas trees on Black Friday.
Bristol Township's Levittown Fire Company No. 2 begins selling Christmas trees to the public on Black Friday. The sale begins Friday at 4 p.m. and continues until 10 p.m. Trees will also be available on weekends until Dec. 24 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and weekdays from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m., the fire company posted online. The volunteer company said that all sale profits will go toward new equipment and "other needs of the fire company." Cash, Visa and MasterCard will be accepted at the tree sale. A motor vehicle accident caused delays at Five Points Wednesday.
Police, fire and EMS crews responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries at the Five Points intersection in the heart of Levittown late Wednesday morning. No serious injuries were reported, but one person was taken to St. Mary Medical Center by the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad, Bristol Township police said. The head-on accident was attended to by firefighters from the township Fire Marshal's office and Levittown Fire Co. 2. The traffic signal at the intersection was working at the time of the crash, police said. Fire crews assisted in directing traffic at the busy intersection.
