Levittown Man Wins Massive $33 Million Powerball Jackpot

A Bristol Township man was the purchaser of the $50 million jackpot Powerball ticket sold in early December in Fairless Hills.

Roger Custer came forward Friday as Levittown’s newest multimillionaire. The Stonybrook section of Bristol Township resident publicly accepted a check for $33,134,526.18 after state officials announced he was the winner of the Dec. 5 Powerball drawing. “The best part about winning the Powerball jackpot is being able to take care of my family,” the retired Custer said in a statement. “It’s a good feeling to know that my family will never have to worry.” Custer said he purchased the lucky ticket at Levittown News & Tobacco in Fairless Hills when he was shopping for supplies for a hunting trip. Fairless Hills Shop Sells Winning Powerball Ticket Worth $50 Million

The winner has not yet come forward publicly. Patch talked with the store owner.

Thursday started like any other day for Levittown News & Tobacco owner Rakesh “Rocky” Raina. It was a phone call during the Fairless Hills residents morning shave that changed the course of the day. “I was shaving when the lottery rep. called me and told me someone hit the Powerball,” he said. His wife, Naina, said her husband did not believe the lottery representative and her supervisor followed up to confirm that a lucky customer had matched the numbers and had won the $50 million dollar prize. The jackpot-winning Powerball ticket from Wednesday’s drawing  correctly matched all five white balls, 13-17-19-27-38, and the red Powerball 12, the lottery commission said in a statement.
