Troopers Charge Three with Drunk Driving

The following arrest information was provided by the Bensalem Township Police Department. It does not imply conviction.

Between Feb. 23-24, Trevose troopers investigated the following incidents: On Feb. 23 at 3:33 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 at milepost 37.9 in Bensalem. The driver, Heather A. Michener, 29, of Levittown, was found to be intoxicated. She was arrested for DUI. Trooper Kevin Lee investigated the incident. On Feb. 23 at 10:11 p.m., state police responded to a vehicle that went off the road into a wooded shoulder off I-95 exit 46. Police arrested the driver, Mitchell E. Galietta, 35, of Newtown. Trooper William Hoogerhyde investigated the incident. On Feb. 24 at 2:34 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on I-95 southbound at Street Road. The driver, Daniel J. Troopers Charge Two with Drunk Driving

The following arrest information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose Station. It does not imply conviction.

Between Feb. 15-16, Trevose troopers made the following arrests: On Feb. 15 at 10:17 p.m., state police investigated a disabled vehicle on I-95 southbound at milepost 40.6 in Middletown. The driver, Ashley Volkan, 22, of Philadelphia, showed signs of impairment and was given a field sobriety test. She was arrested with DUI and refused a blood test. She was processed and released. Trooper Erik Sinwich investigated the incident. On Feb. 16 at 1:46 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Young H. Moon, 59, of Levittown, was found to be impaired and arrested for DUI. He was given a blood test, processed and released. Trooper Matthew Lopresto investigated the incident.

Troopers Charge Three with Drunk Driving

The following arrest information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police station in Trevose. It does not imply conviction.

Between Feb. 10-12, Trevose troopers made the following DUI arrests: On Feb. 10 at 8:32 p.m., state police investigated a hit-and-run accident that occurred at Route 1 and Pennsylvania Avenue in Morrisvile. Police said a vehicle driven by David M. Hession, 44, of Morrisville, sideswiped another vehicle and fled the scene. Police observed the crash and stopped Hession on Route 1 at the Bristol Pike Exit. Hession was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He faces DUI charges in district court. Trooper Irwin investigated the incident. On Feb. 11 at 9:25 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle for speeding on I-95 northbound at milepost 37.9 in Bensalem. The driver, John V. Monteleone III, 42, of Levittown, was found to be …

Three-Vehicle Crash Follows Police Pursuit

Falls Township police had been pursuing a vehicle that crashed into two others at the Calhoun Street Bridge in Morrisville.

The State Police are looking for witnesses with information regarding a hit-and-run crash that occurred in Morrisville early this morning. On Feb. 8 at 12:40 a.m., troopers responded to the scene of an accident at the base of the Calhoun Street Bridge. According to a release, Falls Township police were in pursuit of a 2004 Mitsubishi Galant until it approached the bridge into New Jersey. The pursuit was then terminated. The Mitsubishi attempted to pass another car headed toward Trenton when it sideswiped that vehicle and crashed head-on into another vehicle driving into Morrisville. The Mitsubishi’s driver and a passenger exited the disabled vehicle and fled on foot towards New Jersey. The driver of the vehicle that was struck head-on was …

Troopers Report Burglary, Mischief

The following information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

On Feb. 7, the state police in Trevose reported these recent incidents: Troopers responded to the 300 block of Comly Avenue, Langhorne for a reported act of criminal mischief. A 61-year-old male told police that between 8 a.m. and 4:46 p.m. an unknown actor attempted to damage the mailbox and fled in an unknown direction. Trooper Deepak Gupta investigated the incident. Troopers responded to the 200 block of Main Street in Hulmeville for a reported burglary. A 61-year-old woman told police that between 11:30 a.m. and 2:11 p.m. somebody stole $200 worth of gold, a wristwatch worth $100, $25 worth of foreign coins, silver coins worth $5 and $10 cash. The suspect fled in an unknown direction. Trooper Deepak Gupta investigated the incident.

Troopers Fight Speeders from Above

Fastest vehicle clocked at 95 mph on I-95.

The following information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police station in Trevose. On Jan. 30-31, state police conducted a State Police Aerial Reconnaissance and Enforcement Program (Operation SPARE) on I-95 in Middletown. Using a police helicopter and patrol vehicles, 26 vehicles were stopped resulting in 35 citations and two written warnings being issued over the two day-period. Police said the highest speed recorded was 95.8 mph.

According to PhillyBurbs.com, between Jan. 13-19 state police from the Trevose station made the following DUI arrests: On Jan. 13 at 11:10 p.m., James John Bardi, 34, of Levittown, was arrested on I-95 northbound at exit 40, in Bensalem. On Jan. 15 at 1:01 a.m., Matthew Paul Sullivan, 21, of Holland, was arrested on I-95 northbound in Middletown. On Jan. 15 at 3:08 a.m., Nafis James Burns, 26, of Philadelphia, was arrested on I-95 northbound in Bensalem. On Jan. 17 at 1:22 a.m., William Bryant Futrell, 44, of New Hope, was arrested on southbound I-95 at exit 37 in Bensalem. State Police Participate In Motor Coach Enforcement

Statewide, 21 motor coaches placed out of service.

  The Pennsylvania State Police recently participated in a five-day enforcement effort inspecting motor coaches, State Police Commissioner Frank Noonan announced Friday. State and municipal motor carrier enforcement personnel, including Philadelphia and Pittsburgh police officers and Public Utility Commission staff, inspected 218 motor coaches at popular travel destinations statewide, such as casinos like Parx Casino in Bensalem and amusement parks like Sesame Place in Langhorne. Between Dec. 17 and Dec. 23, enforcement personnel placed a total of 21 motor coaches and five drivers out of service for various safety violations. Locally, Troop M, which serves Bucks, Lehigh and Northampton counties, conducted 33 inspections; placed three …

Troopers Make 10 Drunk Driving Arrests

The following arrest information was provided by the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station. It does not imply conviction.

Between Sept. 1-5, state police from the Trevose station made the following arrests: On Sept. 1 at 9:09 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle for erratic driving on I-95 northbound at milepost 45 in Bensalem. The driver, Gregory J. Emanuele, 21, of Stockton, NJ, was found to be under the influence of drugs. He was given a blood test, processed and released. He faces DUI charges. Trooper Thomas Geerlof investigated the incident. On Sept. 2 at 2:27 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at milepost 34.8 in Bensalem. The driver, Mark L. The following information was provided by state police at the Trevose station. It does not imply conviction. Between July 26 and Aug. 2, state police from the Trevose station responded to the following incidents: On July 26 at 12:34 a.m., state police stopped a vehicle driven by Patrick J. Zimmerman, 20, of Philadelphia, on I-95 northbound near Exit 35 for traffic and equipment violations. Zimmerman was found to be intoxicated. He was given a blood test, processed and released.
