Victim Speaks About Frightening Armed Robbery Attempt
The victim of Tuesday's attempted armed robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank on New Falls Road recounts his story to Patch. He also relayed a warning to locals.
A 34-year-old Levittown man calls this past Tuesday night one of the “scariest of his life.” The man, whose name is being withheld out of concerns for his safety, had guns pointed at his head by two males wearing sweatpants, hodded sweatshirts and dark colored bandannas over their faces. All the victim says he was trying to do was deposit a check and withdrawn some gas money from the 24/7 ATM at the Wells Fargo branch on New Falls Road in Bristol Township. He had just finished a shift at his second job. “It's like the Wild West out there,” the man said. “It’s scary what people will do for a quick buck.” The victim saw the subjects display two handguns; he was later was able to retrieve his ATM card and check without personal loss, …

That fence has been like that since at least December 2007, when 5 people were robbed at gunpoint, including me. I was told I was the 5th person. The drive through mac machine was never shut down during that period. Apparently, the police trying to catch the robber in the act, was much more important than the safety of people.
