Alan Raisman, Neighbor

My name is Alan Raisman, and I am very excited to be blogging for Levittown Patch.  I graduated from Lafayette College in May 2010 where I studied government and international affairs.  While a student at Lafayette College, I was engaged in community building, town-gown relations, government relations and international affairs.  

My background includes interning for two Pennsylvania State Senators and the U.S. Department of Justice, traveling to thirty countries across five continents, speaking to over 600 students from 40 countries  about community building and creating a greater town-gown relationship in Easton, PA, the relationship between Lafayette College and Easton, Pennsylvania.  In June, I will be traveling to Boulder, Colorado to speak at the 6th annual International Town & Gown Association University/City Relations Conference about my work in town-gown relations.

My blog posts will cover a variety of topics including getting to know your community, engaging in your local government and making the most out of traveling somewhere new.  I hope that you engage with me to make this experience better for me, for you and for the Levittown Patch website.  I look forward to our conversations together.
