Levitton Resident Elected To YWCA Bucks County Board of Directors

Kim Walker has been elected to YWCA Bucks County's Board of Directors, according to a news release.

Levittown resident Kim Walker has been elected to YWCA Bucks County’s Board of Directors, according to a news release.

Walker has worked in administrative and accounting positions more than 25 years, according to a news release. She also has considerable experience in planning projects for non-profit and community organizations.  

Part-Lenape Indian and a member of the Lenape Nation of Pennsylvania, Walker is also an artist and makes Native American jewelry and other items for display and sale at art shows, museums, and Native American festivals around the region.

YWCA Bucks County is a nonprofit social services organization serving children, women and families since 1954. The mission of the YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.  The YWCA offers a wide and comprehensive array of social service and educational enrichment programs and services to support underserved children, women and families directly in the neighborhoods where they live.  The focus is on three main areas:  Youth Services, Family Centers and Self-Sufficiency Programs.  All YWCA programs are designed to strengthen and improve the lives of Bucks County residents.
