Middletown Township Police Investigate Expensive Thefts

Middletown Township Police Blotter: 3/8

Middletown Township police said they are investigating two thefts.

A 2000 white Ford F-350 pickup truck, worth approximately $12,000, was stolen from a property on North Woodbourne Road, according to police.

It happened after someone cut the lock to a front chain gate and entered the property sometime between Friday and Monday.

Numerous tool and equipment were also stolen. The value of the stolen goods was not immediately known.

In a separate incident, scrap metal was stolen from a locked dumpster police said.

Police said it happened at Empire Abrasive Equipment on West Cabot Boulevard sometime between 12 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Monday.  

The scrap was valued at between $400 and $500.
