Teen Ejected In Serious Crash On Route 13

Driver Lost Control Of Vehicle, Authorities Say

A teenage girl was ejected after the vehicle she was riding in overturned.

Authorities said the driver of the car, the girl's father, lost control of his vehicle while traveling northbound on Route 13.

It happened just south of Bath Road on Monday afternoon.

The vehicle jumped the curb, struck two parked cars before landing on its roof.

The teenage girl was thrown from the vehicle. She sustained serious injures and was transported to a local hospital.

The driver and his son were able to extricate themselves. There was no immediate word on the their conditions and what injuries, if any, they sustained.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, according to authorities.
