Thefts Reported To Middletown Township Police

Middletown Township police said a few thefts were reported.

A woman told police that someone broke into her locked 2009 Chrysler, parked on Homestead Road, and attempted to remove an in-dash radio. The radio and a power charger, valued at $275, were damaged as a result of the attempted theft. It happened sometime between 8:45 a.m. an 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to police, sometime on Monday two credit/debit cards were stolen from a woman’s wallet, which was in an unlocked storage cabinet at American Signature Furniture. Police said the cards were used to in an attempt to make purchases at area stores.

A wallet was stolen from a purse that was left unattended in a shopping cart at Redners Warehouse sometime between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police reported. The wallet contained cash, credit/debit cards and other personal items. The value is estimated at approximately $50.
