County To Spray For Mosquitoes In Bristol Township Today

Spraying will begin at dusk weather permitting.

The Bucks County Health Department, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), will conduct an adult mosquito spray on Friday, Sept. 16, beginning at dusk – weather permitting.

According to a release, the area to be treated in Bristol Township includes all of Winder Village as well as Fayette Drive to Bayard Street, Bayard Street, Fairview Avenue, Merlin Street, Pike, Old Orchard Lane, Tower Road, Apple Road and King Street.

A section of West Bristol that includes Snowden Avenue, Dixon Avenue, Camervon Avenue, Western Westminster Avenue, Westwood Avenue, Western Avenue, Park Avenue, Westview Avenue, Llanberis Avenue and Arthur Avenue will also be included in this spray event, according to the news release.

The vehicle to be used will be identified with Bucks County logos. There will be a Green Chevrolet pickup truck and a Blue Ford Ranger Pickup truck.  The chemical to be used will be Biomist 3+15 dispensed from an ultra-low volume spray machine.
